Classical Harmony PrincipleWhile rhythm and melody drive techno, harmony (chords) provides emotional depth and color. In this module, you will learn how to build major and minor triads (three-note chords), analyze them using Roman numerals, and program a chord progression in your synth loop.

Harmony Tip: Although our synth channels are monophonic, you can program chord arpeggios in the sequencer by rapidly triggering the root, third, and fifth notes on successive sixteenth steps. This creates a classic, cascading chiptune arpeggio!
